External Fire Escape Staircase – Manchester Building

M-S-Fab was commissioned to design and install an external fire escape staircase on a commercial property in Manchester. The staircase was required to comply with current fire safety legislation and provide safe secondary means of escape from the first floor.

Fire Escape Specification:

• Structural mild steel staircase with open-grid treads
• Hot-dip galvanised finish throughout for weather resistance
• Handrails both sides at the required 1000mm height
• Landing with fire-rated door connection at the top
• Independently structurally designed and certified
